Dear friends,
For many of us who grew up in the Northwest, we realize how truly fortunate we are to live in a corner of the country where life takes on a special meaning . Our families have room to play and Northwesterners take full advantage.
The breathtaking Oregon Coast is just 75 miles away while skiing on Majestic Mount Hood is an hours drive. There are golf courses and hiking trails in our backyard, and the Columbia River Gorge, with all its water activities, is a straight shot across I-84. Yes, for all of this we put up with the rainy winters, but, as I see it, it's a pretty good payoff.
Having grown up in Olympia, I have a respect for the Northwest, not only for its natural resources, but for its fascinating architecture. Even though I always new I wanted to be a journalist, my avocation has always been architecture. I earned a real estate license in the mid 1990's and enjoy designing and remodeling my own homes. After a 25 year career as a TV newscaster; sportscaster; and morning show host, I decided to embark on a new path in life, residential real estate. In fact, I was blessed with two life altering events, on December 3, 2004 I became a dad, the best job I've ever had. I still keep my hand in television, hosting a five-minute interview segment called Comcast Newsmakers on CNN Headline News. I also work with HGTV on a show called House Hunters. In 2005 I joined the boutique firm of Chris Caffee Real Estate. Chris’s tremendous wealth of local real estate knowledge and philosophy of a more personal relationship with our clients made the choice the perfect fit for me.
